Resource Development Planning
We help organizations explore new strategies to develop new revenue streams or increase existing ones. This can include a range of fundraising strategies, as well as earned revenues such as fee-based services. We draw on our 20-plus years of experience in fundraising to determine what mix of individual, corporate, foundation and government support would best align with an organization’s strengths and unique attributes. Our services in fundraising can range from trainings for staff and board members to coaching and support on fundraising strategies (such as major donor cultivation), to creating comprehensive multiyear development plans. If needed, we can also involve our partners with special expertise in areas such as cause marketing and capital campaigns.
In addition, we have a strong track record of looking creatively to identify potential opportunities for fee- or service-based revenues. It is not uncommon for nonprofits to miss opportunities to better monetize their services, and Mission Velocity has extensive experience in helping organizations in this area. An evaluation of potential partnerships with other organizations may also be explored as a way to leverage impact and enhance capacity, and in many cases volunteer engagement may also provide a vehicle for maximizing scarce resources.
